Tai Chi Yoga & Sei Ki Touch

Island Yoga is pleased to announce two European Tai Chi workshops this summertime. The theme “Tai Chi Made Simple” will allow us to focus on the opening 6-12 moves of the classic Yang Style Tai Chi 24 form and to explore the fundamentals of this exquisitely graceful movement art in a peaceful and tranquil environment.
Daily performance of the 6-12 form will:

  • diminish stress and increase energy levels
  • greatly improve your balance and coordination – body & mind
  • sharpen your concentration and boost your creativity
  • make you feel radiant and revitalized
  • deepen your respect and care for the natural world – Taoism means “The Way of Nature”

If you find sitting meditation difficult, give Tai Chi a try. It’s a startling revelation to discover that through this simple yet beautiful moving meditation our physical, mental, emotional and spiritual states can be miraculously uplifted and transformed.

Workshop tuition is 12 hours and will cover:

  • Traditional Yang Small Circle Tai Chi 6 or 12 form
  • Tai Chi Yoga Relaxation Exercises

In the later part of each day you will be given the option to study either Spiral Qi Gong or Sei Ki Touch.

About Qi Gong
“Qi” means energy and “Gong” means cultivation so Qi Gong is the skillful cultivation of life force energy. This invisible current circulates through the body along pathways known as meridians. Practice of Qi Gong heals, nourishes and strengthens the body and is responsible for keeping us in a premium state of health…. With regular practice you will soon become aware of glowing healthy skin, sparkling eyes, lustrous hair, and a calm and peaceful mind…and these are just the outer manifestations of this ancient Taoist practice.

About Sei Ki Touch

Sei Ki is a touch-based practice which originated with Japanese Zen Shiatsu, but evolved into something far more sensitive. There are no books, theories, rights or wrongs, just plain sensitivity and heart feeling. We can all do this, it is not magic.
